Peruvian Tuna Causa Recipe
The filled cause is one of the most representative dishes of Peruvian gastronomy. The cause, made with potato and yellow pepper, is complemented with other ingredients such as tuna, chicken, avocado and boiled egg among others.

Ingredients to make Peruvian tuna Causa:
1 kilogram of yellow potato
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 lemons
1 pinch of Salt and Pepper
1 teaspoon of chili pepper, ground or blended
180 grams of Tuna in oil (2 cans)
½ Red onion
1 tomato
2 avocados
2 cups of Mayonnaise
Parsley
8 olives
2 boiled eggs
Pepper strips
How to make Peruvian Tuna Causa:
First we start by cooking the yellow potatoes. To do this, peel and wash all the potatoes, place them in a pot with water and boil until they soften enough to make a mashed potatoes.
Season the yellow mashed potatoes with salt, pepper, lemon, chili and oil. Besides, mix the previously drained tuna with the mayonnaise and the finely chopped onion.
Reserve for each mixture separately, so we will obtain the two base preparations of our tuna cause.
The traditional presentation of the Peruvian tuna cause is in layers, so to assemble the dish we will need a kitchen ring. Place it on the plate where you are going to serve the cause and add a first layer of mashed potatoes, then add a portion of tuna and on top add finely chopped tomato and avocado slices.
To finish, add another layer of mashed potatoes and refrigerate until serving time.
Serve the cause of Peruvian tuna decorating the plate to taste, with strips of pepper, boiled egg, mayonnaise and a touch of parsley.
